Will a mauser 98 Ati stock fit on a mauser 95 7.92x57 mauser not .308?
I'm confused about this rifle the chilean mauser 1895 rifle, it can be both 7.92 or .308, I getting the one in 7.92 which gets to my question will the Ati 98 stock fit on the 95? they say it doesn't work with a .308 but the rifle can be either or what confuses me is are the ring the dimensions the same in .308 or 7.92 or is the 95 in 7.92 has the same ring dimensions as the 98. The chambering has nothing to do with the fit of the stock. But you can't fit a stock meant for a large-ring Mauser on a small-ring rifle.
