Activities in and around Halifax, Nova Scotia are plentiful. Some of these include the Halifax Citadel which is one of the city's most historic sites. Built in 1749, the same year the city was found, construction took a full 30 years to complete. In 1956 it was declared a national historic park. You can tour the old living quarters, see powder magazines, and musket galleries, or the Army Museum, which showcases a collection of Canadian military history.
Historic properties are situated on the waterfront and represent Canada's oldest surviving group of waterfront warehouses. These newly restored buildings date back to 1800 and are now filled with specialty shops and boutiques, restaurants, bars and entertainment stops for year round fun.
Bluenose II is a replica of the original schooner. It is docked at the wharf outside the Maritime Museum. The ship is a floating ambassador and still takes to the water on occasion. It is Canada's best known boat and was built in 1921. It is even pictured on the Canadian dime. The boat was launched in 1963 and offers daily tours.
The Maritime Museum of the Atlantic is a museum that showcases maritime history from a Canadian perspective. There are several exhibitions including the Days of Sail, the Age of Steam as well as a display about the Titanic and the Halifax Explosion. The CSS Acadia is also docked here.
Pier 21 is a newer site featuring the history of immigrants, war brides and evacuee children. It is open year round.
Alexander Keith's Original Brewery sits on Water Street and is a huge ironstone and granite building. The building consists of the original brew house, hospitality rooms, a 19th century company story and exhibit center.
Art Gallery of Nova Scotia is a provincial art gallery. The modern gallery rests in a restored building from 1868 and showcases Canadian and international art in permanent and temporary exhibitions. The gallery is open year-round.
Mi'kmaq Heritage Gallery is owned and operated by the Micmac people and is located at the Halifax International Airport, Departure level. The gallery exhibits and sells a range of traditional and contemporary work by Native craftspeople and artists including baskets, footwear, dream catchers, jewelery, wooden flowers, dolls, clothing, quill boxes, and paintings
Bedford Institute of Oceanography is situated just outside of Dartmouth, at the Dartmouth end of MacKay Bridge. This is Canada's leading marine research center and one of the world's largest oceanographic facilities. Exhibits show the institute's research in fisheries, oceanography and hydrography.
World Peace Pavilion is located at Dartmouth Waterfront and is a collection from countries around the world who contributed rocks and bricks from their most cherished historical sites or representing their proudest achievements. Here, you will find pieces of the Berlin Wall and the Great Wall of China.

Is it Illegal to walk around with a 15 multi function swiss army knife in canada?
The knife over all is 3 and a half inch, blade being 2 1/2. There is no spring force what so ever; you have to pull blade out. knife is very basic: screwdriver, magnifying glass bottle opener ect. Illegal to have in pocket or not? Plz and Thankyou
solong as the knives are under either 10 inces or 5 inches i think its five though if you got a swiss army knife its most likely ok though id bring it to the police station and ask if i'd need a hidden weapons permit if you do then no you cant walk around with it in your pocket unless you get the permit of course if its to big then you can attach like a chain or a keychain/rock climbing clip to it and dangle it on the of your pants or belt or something in plain view
