Watch Ice Sledge Hockey Paralympic Online 2010 Vancouver Winter Games
The Sledge Hockey tourneyment ice hockey will be taking place over two separate venues, Canada Hockey Place (General Motors Place, home of the NHL's Vancouver Canucks) and UBC Thunderbird Arena (located on the University of British Columbia campus). Canada Hockey Place is located in the heart of downtown Vancouver and holds a spectator capacity of 18,630. As for the UBC Thunderbird Arena it has undergone some renovations to the ice surfaces in preparation for the 2010 Winter Olympics. The venue capacity is 7,200.
All Ice Sledge Hockey events will be streamed there
Both of the venues will also host the Ice Sledge Hockey tournament during the 2010 Paralympics. Sledge hockey was designed for people that have disabilities in their lower bodies. The players will sit on a double bladed sledge and will use two sticks to maneuver the sledge and also play the puck. The rules of sledge hockey do not differentiate much from the IIHF rules for the regular hockey tournament.

Ice Sledge Hockey History
Two Swedish national teams played an exhibition match at 1976 Paralympic Winter Games in Örnsköldsvik (Sweden). However, Ice Sledge Hockey did not become an official event until 1994 Paralympic Winter Games in Lillehammer.
About Ice Sledge Hockey
Six players (including goalkeeper) from each team are on the ice at once. The object is for one team to get the puck (a hard black rubber disc) past the other team's goaltender and into the goal.
Instead of standing on skates, players sit on aluminum or steel sledges fitted with two blades. They grip two double-ended sticks, one in each hand. One end of the stick has a sharp pick that the players use to propel the sledge, the other has a curved blade to pass and shoot the puck. A regular Sledge Hockey game consists of three 15-minute periods.

What were your thoughts about Columbia asking him to speak, what did you feel about what he said and did you feel he prothletized alot? As a Christian, I would be hard pressed to find a Univ like Columbia that would invite a born again Christian who was prothletizing on stage. Do you feel it is a double standard? Not? Free speech to him as well? Thoughts?
I am posting in here because, Im most comfortable here, but also this kind of ties in with religion, I suppose.
I feel ya! the same ones ranting about ones right to free speech are the ones who would deny the Christian's a forum in this Democratic country.
