Dermestid Beetle

Dermestid Beetle Help!!!!!?
Unfortunately im having to do a scientific card on the Dermestid Beetle, can someone tell me the scientific name and the number of instars etc just information on it that crime scene people need.
The Dermestids are an entire family of beetles, with numerous species in the group.
Some of the most common Dermestids include the black carpet beetle (Attagenus megatoma), the khapra beetle (Trogoderma granarium), and the larder beetle (Dermestes lardarius).
Most Dermestids go through five or six larval instars, however beetles in general are pretty variable on their larval development, depending on food and environmental conditions. Some Dermestids can take as many as sixteen instars before they pupate.
The ones most often used by museums to remove hair and tissues from skeletons are the larder beetles (Dermestes lardarius) - however these are rarely important to crime scene investigations.
Forensic entomologists often encounter Dermestid larvae as scavengers on corpses, but also beetles of other families. Staphylinids (rove beetles) and Silphids (carrion beetles) are of particular importance - both being predacious on maggots. Scarabs are also important, usually found on carcasses in the late stages of decay.
There are so many different species of beetle that move onto corpses, and their life cycles are so variable that they aren't as useful to crime scene investigators as things like blowflies are - they can't really be used to indicate time of death based on their development status for example, but can give some general indicators of what sort of conditions the corpse has been through, and where it's been, as well as a rough estimate of time of death (days, weeks, etc.). Forensic investigators also need to be familiar with the type of feeding damage the beetles do, so as not to confuse it with pre-mortem damage.
