Layered Clothing is Key

When you dress in layers, it's easy to add or remove clothing in response to changes in conditions and temperature. When dressing in layers, be sure to include a base layer, a mid layer and an outer layer. The base layer needs to be comfortable against your skin and be able to wick away perspiration to the outer layers for quick drying. Silk is an excellent choice for the base layer. Other good fibres are wool, polyester and polypropylene. The mid layer becomes the base layer in mild or warm conditions. A wind proof jacket is generally required for the mid layer, preferably one with a fleece lining. Another option is separate wind proof and fleece jackets. If your wind proof jacket is also waterproof, you can dispense with the waterproof jacket in the outer layer. The outer layer should be both waterproof and breathable. Technical fabrics like Gore-Tex® are the optimal choice. Finally, in cold conditions, be sure to wear a warm hat and use a layered glove system with a waterproof exterior. Deer tend to move and feed more when it's cold. When it is hot, deer mostly bed down during the day and wait to feed at night when it's cooler. Personally, I like to hunt in the afternoon, But I have taken deer in the morning and Mid day. Most experts will tell you that deer movement consist more in mid day than morning or afternoon, especially Buck movement. In order to be effective you really need to hunt all day, it requires more patience but it can pay off if you get a good deer.

It's best to fish when the temp is slightly cooler than normal and on cloudy days. But you can catch fish in almost any condition as well.
