Sig P225 magazine in a P6?
I was just wondering if a magazine from a Sig P225 will fit in a P6. Every P6 mag I find is well overpriced and I know the P225s are cheaper, but I've been seeing a rubbing bottom on them and was wondering if it would involve removing that piece as well. Thanks.
Long answer:
The P225 and the P6 are basically the same pistol. The only difference is the P6 has a 28lb mainspring (225 has a 24lb) to help prevent "accidental" discharges by the German police they were issued to, a hooked hammer that is supposed to show if the pistol was ever dropped (supposed theory). They also have different markings.
Short answer: mags are the same.
FWIW factory mags are pretty much the only way to go. The cheaper Pro-mags are reported to be junk. If you must try them buy just one and try it before you waste your money. Even if it does work use it for a range mag only.
