Crime Books You can never predict the ending
Crime Books, by their very nature and inter linked to mystery, investigaton, suspense and the legal involved, etdc. They also require the readers to stomach at least a certain degree of violence, outrage, corrupuion, revenge, and sabotage. But all said and done, what is life without a few typical queries wringing our minds and heart as to "what will happen next"? Who has killed the male or the female charater on chapter 2? Or worse, I think I have got it all wrong and this at the second last chapter. Only to find that in the clast chapter that you were both right and wrong. You found to your utter amazement that it is not only the characer that you have been suspecting all along as the guilty but also that the other female character is also very much a real baddie.
It is rather interesting to note that the former Minister of Justice, in the Norwegian Government, Anne Holt is currently proving to the most loved female crime write in the entire Europe. So much so that readers all across the continent and especially in the UK, are gobbling up her latest thriller 1222 like there si no tomorrow. The other more recent crime thriller that is being talkid abou is Horace McCoy's They Shoot Horses, Don't They?. Now, this one is slightly on the grotesque and the gory side and hence be fore warned. All the same McCoy seems to have packed in enough pulsating excitement and somwhow managed to incorporate the humanness to all the endless murders and other crimed that takes place in almost every page of the Cheap Books.
They Shoot Horses, Don't They? Comes with an introduction by the veteran British crime author, John Harvey. Crime books have always, been and will continue to keep us awak through nights half afraid, half curious but extremely keen to know it all till the very, end.. And most of the times, we are found to be wrong as we find a totallly different and unthought of conclusion to it all.

What is the difference between "bows" and "fore-end"?
The "fore-end" of a vessel is its forecastle, which is a short raised deck at fore end of ship; or front of the ship under its main deck. The "fore-end" or forecastle is always aft of the bow. In small boats this would typically be the anchor or anchor chain locker...
The "bow" however is the very front of the vessel's hull including any bowsprint or spar that extends out over the bow of a ship.
