are these air rifles suitable for a 13 year old?
i would like to know if these air rifles are too strong for me or dangerous, im not using it for shooting anyone but i want it for hunting small squirrels. the links are below and also the type of ammo i will be using is there....

Of those two choices, the Gamo is the best. The Gamo delivers about 14.5 ft-lbs, while the Quest delivers about 13-14 ft-lbs. If you are going to get a refurbished Big Cat, might I suggest looking at Cabelas.com. They have some great deals on their refurbished Big Cats which come with a one year warranty. They have one Gamo Big Cat which has the gun, 3-9x40 scope, and one piece mount, and only for $94.99 on sale right now.

As for the PBA Raptors, do not buy them. They are inaccurate/inconsistent/expensive, and can/will damage your air gun's mainspring. If you want good ammo for your air rifle, you can buy high quality lead pellets that will more than likely be accurate, for less per pellet than the raptors. The springers in the 15 ft-lb range perform best with pellets from 7.5-9 grain. Look into JSB, Crosman, Beeman, H&N, Predator, etc. Most Gamo Big Cats prefer the Crosman Premier light domed (7.9 grain). That is a good place to start.
