Do you need to drill holes on a wine barrel if you want to use it as a planter?
Yes, drill holes. But drill them in the side ,just above the bottom. That way water dont just sit trapped in the space between the bottom and the ground. Unless yor raise it with small bricks. Then in the bottom is fine
OH. don't forget to put small rock ,about 2 " in the bottom for good drainage
