What Is a Swivel Wall Mount?
A swivel wall mount is a handy little feature if you need to place your television in a tight corner. It allows you to easily turn the television to a suitable angle for optimal viewing. In other words, your television set is not stuck flat in one position on the wall.
With a swivel mount you are able to rotate your Plasma TV up to 45 degrees left or right. The television set can also be angled down up to 15 degrees to cut off the glare from any light sources. Another bonus is that you are able to extend the set from five to eleven inches from the wall depending on the length of the extendable arm. This is ideal if you need to store away your television in a corner after viewing or if your television is kept inside a cupboard, as they are in most hotel rooms.
The cable inlay system, which comes inbuilt with a swivel wall mount, hides all unsightly wires and cables. The wires are run against the frame of the wall mount so they are not so visible. This is definitely a plus point because dangling wires are seen as messy and can spoil the mood of a room.

Will the log start spinning?
There's a perfectly cylindrical log mounted horizontally on frictionless pins at each end. It is in a container, set up so that, looking down the length of the log, on one side is air and the other is water. There are walls to keep the air and water separated, and these walls meet the log lengthwise with frictionless seals.

Given that a log floats in water, would the log start spinning?
The answer is "no". This can be explained in several different ways:
1. Apart from the log, nothing else changes it's energy level. There is no drop in water levels, no increase or decrease in pressures, etc.
Since nothing else changes its energy, the log can't either. And if the log started spinning, it would have to gain rotational (kinetic) energy. There's nowhere for this energy to come from.
2. Another way to look at this is "Why does a log, when pushed underwater, rise toward the surface?" The answer is that, as the log is rising, water is falling (basically, water from above the log moves downward, while the log moves upward). The water loses potential energy, while the log gains it.
You can demonstrate this clearly with a test-tube of water and a pencil. When you push the pencil into the water, the water level rises. When you let go, the water level falls and the pencil rises. Because water is denser than wood, you need to put energy in to push the pencil down, you get energy out when you let it go.
Even if you had a long test-tube, and could push the pencil far underwater, it would still rise (even though the total water height wouldn't change until the pencil broke the surface) - this is because water above the pencil is moving down to fill the space that the pencil used to be in.
In the experiment you described, rotating the log wouldn't cause any water to move (in an absolute sense. Water might mix around a bit, but there is no net change in the water's height), and therefore the water can't impart any energy to the log.
