1 piece or 2 piece scope base for Remington model 700?
I'm picking up a Remington model 700 in a few weeks and am kind of on the fence about the scope base. there seems to be a rather large price disparity between the 1 piece and the 2 piece mounts. what would provide more accuracy? and if it helps I'll be mounting a nikon prostaff 4-12x 40mm scope on the rifle. I'll be doing some hunting but mostly target shooting, 300 yards at the longest.
