Good Scope For WASR-10 ?
I just bought a wasr, and was thinking of puting a scope not posotive yet but thought I'd get some suggestions on a good cheepesh scope, I need one that fits on picatiny rails , pretty good zoom, good eye relief ( the mounting is on the front of the gun maybe 10 inches from where you rest your cheek ) just looking for one to help with target practice. p.s I got a great deal on my gun WASR-10 double stack, folding stock, new pistol grip, new 4 mounting picatiny rail system on the front with a fore arm grip on the bottoom, sweet gun ( havent shot it yet)
the Rifle was 349.99 walked out the door with tax,3 30rd, mags 60 rounds ammo for $409.26 lucked out big time it was heading to a gun show the next day

You want to scope a folding stock AK?
Look, I'm a big fan of the AKs, have several ....one has had every option made put on it at one time or another.
Let's face it though..... the AK is a "medium" range carbine at best....starting with the capabilities of the 7.62x39 medium round, the loose-tolerance action, short barrel and add the instability of a folding stock and what you have there is a "short to medium range" gun. It's range for shooting accurately should be well within the natural eyesight of most people.
I think what you want is a "pointing aid"...a holographic sight, a red dot scope or even just some improved iron sights like the good Mojo Brand aperture sights. I currently have the Mojo's on my best AK, a MAK 90, and honestly they are perfect and all you really need for nailing pie plates at 150 yards.
All that other stuff bolted on your rails....while it may look cool, anyone who's been a round a while will tell you that "less is more" and all that other stuff likely won't help you nail your targets and just gets in the way and adds to your weight.
Like I said, I've bought every gadget at one time or another and narrowed it down to what workd for me....K-Var NATO-length stockset, Tapco G trigger group, MOJO sights, recoil buffer and some 30-rd polymer mags.
All the other stuff is just bolt-on foolishness....like putting a racing wing on the trunk of a Chevy Cavalier.
Good deal on the gun and Congrats. You money and time now will be best spent on ammo......lots of ammo!
