improving the accuracy of an armalite AR 10A4?
I found a great deal on this rifle, but I want to take the MOA from +/- 2" at 100yds to more like and inch or less. I already have a free float handguard ordered. I have my sights on a magpul PRS as well. What I dont know a lot about is new triggers, and improved barreling. I'm shooting 150-175 grain ammo. These are off the shelf, not reloads. I dont have the equipment to do that yet, but I know that will help with the grouping too.
Thats about as far as I have got with this little project. Any ideas?
Well, the free floating handguard is good. Find out exactly what your barrel's twist rate is and then carefully match your bullet weight to it. See if you can find a two-stage trigger for that AR, too.
I've, both, fired their customized AR's and heard very good things about customer service from these people. If I were building an accurized AR-type rifle I think I'd get to know them well -

Other than that I really have to agree with you: A 4 MOA spread @ 100 yards isn't anything to get excited about.
On my best day I can do +/- 3/4" @ 100 with either my LE6920 or AK-74 (101 Series). Both carbines are factory standard.
PS: If it isn't critical, I think I'd leave the factory barrel alone.
