Are creative, artistic men and women often misunderstood for being weird?
i've definitely made necklaces and earrings out of feathers, dream catchers, and mandalas- i've worn them to school and abroad- and most people who see them think wow you made that- then they say its weird- haha-
so i'm just wondering its kind of discouraging for us- because as a child- as a creative artistic person- who made necklaces and bracelets out of hay, grass, rocks, and shells- i was always told the things i've made and invented were weird- and i'd never be taken seriously as an artist...i was always told my clothes were weird- and looked off season- and i needed to be put in a time machine...
how has it been for you as a creative artistic person?
I often get such remarks at school too.
Don't wear pants and skirts.
No tutu.
Nothing 80's, 70's, 60's, or sundresses for an entire week.
No mix matching.
Wear the same kind of shoes.
Wear the same kind of socks.
You can't wear ponytails for a whole year.
BUT...I don't care what they say because my friends don't insult my clothes. I enjoy being creative and myself. I don't care if people insult me anymore or if they stare like I'm mental.
Have fun with life because you only get one go.
