How do the 3 Types of Radar Speed Camera Detectors Work?
So you've looked at the dissimilar sorts of speed camera detectors and decided that you want to go for the sort that uses radar. This style of speed camera detector is known as a radar detector.
Radar detectors are found in 3 different types. It's truly imperative to be aware of what you need before you start shopping around for a radar detector. You possibly don't want to make a poor choice or end up with a radar detector that doesn't correspond to your needs, right?
There are three kinds of radar detectors. There's the corded radar detector, the cordless radar detector, and the remote-mount radar detector. Diverse manufacturers might call the 3 varieties of radar detector by slightly different names. You don't want to compare apples with oranges, so when comparing various models just look closely at the features to be sure what kind of radar detector it is.
This article will make clear how they are diverse and what the pros and cons of each might be. There is no single radar detector that is the most perfect for everybody. Forget about playing "keep up with the Joneses." This is not about getting the coolest new gadget. A speed camera detector is a tool that will save you money and help you keep your license.
The most important thing is to figure out your particular needs. Then decide what kind of radar detector you want. This will help you narrow down your choices. Then when you begin shopping for a specific radar detector, you will already have a smaller list to wade through.
Naturally you will have saved time with this research and you can then focus on the radar detectors that match your specs. You'll also avoid wasting your money on something that turns out not to be the best for your situation. Sounds good, right?
If you're ready, let's learn about the three main varieties of radar detectors.
Corded Radar Detector
Now, the corded radar detector is easy to install. You will just mount it onto your windshield using suction cups.
When it comes to accuracy, this style of radar detector offers the highest range of detection, so it's the most accurate. A corded radar detector will give you a lot of peace of mind, because you'll be able to successfully avoid speeding tickets and fines.
The one thing you might not care for with the corded radar detector is the cord itself.
Obviously since the cord always has to be attached for the radar detector to work, that can get a bit annoying. You will need to weigh the pros and cons and decide if the high accuracy of this style of radar detector is worth the inconvenience of having a cord attached.
Cordless Radar Detector
A cordless radar detector is a convenient option for multiple-vehicle owners. It's easily carried between vehicles. With no cord hanging off the radar detector, installing this device in your vehicle is really easy and convenient.
On the other hand, the cordless model is not quite as accurate. Then again, it depends on the manufacturer - some truly good quality models of cordless radar detector are going to be better than the corded style from a less-good manufacturer. Always check the facts for yourself. All vehicle owners who are shopping for radar detectors and have more than one vehicle will want to take a look at a few cordless models.
Remote-Mount Radar Detector
Remote-mount detectors are permanently mounted inside your vehicle. The installation is very hard to spot. For this reason, people who live in high-risk areas tend to opt for remote-mount radar detectors.
This is a great option only if portability is unimportant to you. You cannot remove this kind of radar detector. You can see that it boils down to portability versus security.
You should now have a pretty good understanding of the 3 sorts of radar speed camera detectors. You learned the differences between a corded radar detector, a cordless radar detector, and a remote-mount radar detector.
You should be well-equipped to talk about radar detectors if anybody ever asks you! You're now ready to go buy the radar detector of your choice!

speed and duration of "Mount Pinatubo Erupts"?
I think you're asking about the "eruption sequence" of the 1991 eruption. Very briefly, here it is:
March 15 - first pre-eruption earthquakes are felt.
April 2 - first eruptive activity. This was in the form of steam explosions (ground water being rapidly heated and exploding outward, leaving a small crater) and light ash fall.
June 3 - first "magmatic" eruption - the first appearance of lava.
June 7 - first large explosion.
June 12 - second large explosion, accompanied by an "ash column" - the familiar pillar of smoke. It reached 24km in height.
June 13 - two more large explosions with ash again reaching 24km.
June 15 - the worst day. The main eruption occurred sending ash 34km into the sky. Explosions, pyroclastic flows (fiery landslides of burning rock) and ash fall caused huge amounts of destruction. To make things worse a typhoon came ashore during this part of the eruption with high winds and heavy rain which now became rains of thick mud which hardened like concrete. Really nasty stuff!
Since June 15 the eruption became much gentler until it stopped in late 1992.
