What equipment should Rentals Stores stock for concrete and asphalt surface preparation?
What's the difference? How can rental businesses choose the right machines?
Rental companies should select a scarifier based on performance, versatility, reputation and price. Suppliers that are direct domestic manufacturers and specialize in scarifiers and surface preparation equipment are the most reliable and responsive. A multi-purpose machine that serves most or all of a customer's surface preparation requirements would be a good choice.
What types of concrete preparation equipment does your company offer?

Select the SPS10 as an upright "drum assisted" manual or as a self-propelled ride-on. You can also outfit the SPS10 with a 13HP Honda Gas or 7.5 HP Electric motor.
In addition to the versatile SPS10, SMITH directly manufactures other size scarifiers designed for every budget and surface preparation or line erasing job from handheld, walk behind, self propel and ride-ons. What's the right mix of concrete prep equipment a rental business should have and what factors should they take into account when selecting machines for their inventory?
Rental companies should determine the markets they serve. If the store is focused on the concrete surface-prep contractor, they should carry a variety of machines to serve small, medium and large jobs. For punch list repair work, a hand-held FS050 or FS150 or our small gas or electric powered FS200 Deluxe walk behind works best.
