How to temporary patch a round hole in my mobile home roof.?
While pulling monster tree limbs off of my roof, from an ice storm, I discovered my roof had been speared by a branch. the hole goes through the roof and is about 1 inch wide, straight through a shingle and the insulation. I'm good with my hands but I know nothing about roofing. I just need to patch it while I contact the insurance company, but its going to rain tomorrow.
You can patch it with a woven plastic membrane which comes in narrow rolls and use a sealer called Cool Patch which I found worked very well on my trailer. Both can be purchased at Home Depot or Menards.
