Where did Celebrity Five go to in Antalya, Turkey?

The Celebrity Five Go to Turkey was a pilot series produced by RDF for UK's Channel 4.

The reality series which was broadcast in UK by Channel 4 in January 2011, featured astrologer Russell Grant, ex-newsreader Jan Leeming, Blue band member, Anthony Costa, MP Derek Conway and ex-party girl Emma Ridley.

Over the last few days, since the programme was broadcast, I have seen many questions asked online as to "Where did Celebrity 5 stay in Turkey?" "Celebrity 5 go to...Turkey – Does anyone know the name of the villa complex where the celebs stayed" and "Where did Celebrity Five Go to in Turkey?" So as I specialise in events in Turkey, and living in Kadriye near Belek in Antalya, for the last two years, I thought that this could be useful for you.

Celebrity 5 stayed in an unnamed villa complex which was either in Kadriye, or Belek, Antalya, known as the Turkish Riviera. Both are towns next to each other, and are located on the south coast of Turkey. Belek is the golf capital of Turkey, and this Turkish Riviera area has approximately 40 high end luxurious villa and apartment developments, plus quality villas for sale and villas to rent by owners, that it is very hard to list all of them all individually. Online searching for villa renter web sites and property estate agents in UK and Turkey will show many key vendors. There is also a Belek home owners group on Yahoo, if you are looking to rent privately for your holidays. Some of the best quality villa complexes are located near to one of the many golf courses in Belek and Kadriye such as The Gloria, The National, The Cornelia, The Carya and The Montgomerie Papillion golf resorts and spas.

With all year sunshine, Belek, Antalya is a fabulously relaxed location for corporate events, and the 4* and 5* venues and hotels in Turkey are purpose built for corporate meetings, conferences and exhibitions. Corporate hospitality options can include amateur or professional golf events, spa retreats plus all of the other activities which Celebrity Five in Turkey undertook.

Celebrity Five Go to Turkey was filmed in September 2010, when the weather in Antalya, Turkey is between 22°C / 71°F to 25°C / 75 °F, with infrequent rain showers. The average daily Antalya January temperature is 15°C / 59°F, reaching heights in July of 33°C / 91°F, sometimes soaring to 48°C / 118°F.

Kadriye and Belek are 30 minutes away from Antalya airport, and a short drive to many of the activities featured in Celebrity Five Go to Turkey, such as Aspendos, Antalya City Centre and Kemer.

Jeep Safari.  In Taurus Mountains near Kemer.1 hour 30 minutes

Mud Spa – Babel Palace. Kemer 1 hour 40 minutes

Night out in Antalya Old Town. Antalya 45 minutes

Swimming with the Dolphins – (part of Rixos Hotels) Belek 10 minutes

Troy Water Park (part of Rixos Hotels). Belek 10 minutes

Water sports – Banana Boat, Jet Skiing. Belek and Kadriye Beaches. 5 minutes

It is very interesting to point out to European professional football fans, that the top Kadriye and Belek hotels play host to the football winter training camps in December and January. Most cold weather European professional football clubs train via friendly matches on the many purpose built sports pitches. You can stand on the sidelines for free and be within breathing distance of some of the top European professional football players and teams.

The main resorts of interest in Turkey for tourists and corporate clients are (from South to West) : Alanya, Side, Manavgat, Belek, Antalya Kemer, Olympos, Finike, Kas, Kalkan, Fethiye, Dalya, Marmaris, Kusadasi, Bodrum, Izmir, Cesme, Gallipoli and Istanbul.

Thinking back to champions league games in Turkey when rival fans were stabbed ..one stabbed to death, hooliganism rife all over europe as well as racism.
Isnt it about time the football authorities came down very very hard like they did with the English fans and admit they have serious problems.

IT'S BLACK DAY FOR FOOTBALL. AGAIN, POLICE IN ITALY OVERREACTED. HOOLIGANISM AND VIOLENCE ARE PROBLEMS IN FOOTBALL. ALL THE STAKEHOLDERS INVOLVED INCLUDING THE CLUB, PLAYERS, FOOTBALL ASSOCIATIONS, UEFA, FIFA, AND THE FANS SHOULD REALLY GET THEIR ACTS TOGETHER TO FIGHT THESE.
